The type of roof you are covering, both what it is used for and what it is made of, will determine what type of roofing product you you use to cover it.

Some types of roofing felts can be applied using nails, whilst others will be best applied using a felt adhesive. Torch-on membranes have an underside of pre-treated thermofusible. This covering is then heated with a propane gas torch and the membrane is applied to the surface of the roof while the bitumen is still hot.
